DU Opens Mid-Entry For UG Admissions 2026; Check Complete Schedule

New Delhi : The University of Delhi (DU) has officially announced the schedule for the Undergraduate (UG) Mid-Entry Admission Round for the 2026 academic session. According to the notification released on the official web portal (du.ac.in), the mid-entry registration window will open on August 3, 2026, and close on August 5, 2026.

This facility offers a crucial second chance to candidates who either failed to apply during Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS UG-2026) Phase-I or could not complete Phase-II preference submission. Applicants who were previously rejected in initial rounds due to document issues or subject-mapping errors can also rectify their details and edit preferences during this timeframe.

Key Requirements and Schedule Highlights

Fee Structure: Candidates entering through this route must pay a non-refundable mid-entry fee of ₹1,000 alongside completing Phase-I.

Exclusions: Mid-entry is strictly prohibited for supernumerary quotas (ECA, Sports, CW, Ward) as well as performance-based or practical programmes (B.A. Honours Music, B.Sc. PE, HE & S, and BFA).

CBSE Compartment Candidates: Students who appeared in the CBSE Class XII Compartment Examination 2026 are advised to utilise this window to safeguard their academic interests.

Following registration, allocation for Round 1 of performance-based programmes will take place on August 6, 2026. The CSAS Round 3 seat allotment results will be declared on August 8, 2026. Selected candidates must accept their seats between August 6, 2026, and August 11, 2026, with online fee payment closing on August 13, 2026 (colleges will complete verification by August 12, 2026).
