More than 2.06 lakh aspirants have submitted their programme and college preferences for undergraduate admissions at the University of Delhi (DU), with Commerce and Humanities courses emerging as the most sought-after streams for the 2026-27 academic session. The preference submission was completed through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) portal following the declaration of CUET UG 2026 results.
According to data shared by the university, 2,73,751 candidates registered on the CSAS-UG portal, 2,18,284 completed the registration process, while 2,06,835 candidates successfully submitted their programme and college preferences before the Phase II deadline. Of the registered candidates, 1,20,509 are female and 97,775 are male.
Among the most preferred undergraduate programmes, BCom (Honours) continues to dominate student choices, followed by other Commerce and Humanities courses. Popular programmes include BA (Hons) Political Science, BA (Hons) History, BA (Hons) English, BA Programme, BCom, and Economics (Hons), reflecting sustained demand for social sciences and commerce disciplines.
The university had also provided a preference-editing window to allow candidates to rearrange their college and course choices after viewing the simulated ranks. This feature enabled applicants to make informed decisions before the final seat allocation.
The first CSAS seat allocation list will be released on July 16, after which shortlisted candidates will have to accept the allotted seat, complete document verification, and pay the admission fee within the stipulated timeline. Subsequent rounds of allocation will be conducted based on seat availability.
Admissions to all undergraduate programmes at Delhi University are being conducted based on CUET UG 2026 scores through the CSAS portal.
