New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur has introduced a new Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management and Technology, aiming to prepare students for careers in an economy increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies. The programme is designed to combine management education with technological expertise, enabling graduates to adapt to rapidly changing workplace demands.

The four-year undergraduate programme is open to students who have completed Class 12 with at least 60 percent aggregate marks (50 percent for reserved categories). Unlike conventional IIT undergraduate courses, admission does not require JEE. Instead, candidates must qualify through the institute’s entrance test followed by counselling.

Industry-focused curriculum

According to IIT Jodhpur, the programme integrates management, technology, AI, analytics and innovation into a single curriculum. Students will study business fundamentals alongside emerging technologies while also gaining practical exposure through projects, internships and industry interactions. The course has been designed to develop professionals capable of bridging technical knowledge with strategic decision-making.

Flexible degree with multiple exit options

The BS programme follows the National Education Policy (NEP) framework and offers multiple exit options after each academic year. It is delivered in a blended mode and spans eight semesters with 47 courses and 141 credits. IIT Jodhpur says the curriculum has been developed to meet the evolving needs of industries increasingly influenced by AI-led transformation.

The institute said the programme reflects growing student interest in interdisciplinary education that combines technology and management, helping learners remain competitive as AI continues to reshape the global job market.
